At Jannettas Gelateria, we’ve always believed that great gelato & sorbet isn’t just about flavour – it’s about capturing a moment, a memory, and a sense of place.
We’ve teamed up with Matt and Ish at Ocelot Chocolate to create an incredible dark chocolate and blood orange sorbet, using their Great Taste 3-Star award-winning chocolate bars. Ocelot Chocolate produces a range of unique bars right here in Dundee, and we found this rich, citrusy combo to be the winner.
We visited Matt and the team at their chocolate factory in Dundee and were welcomed by the sweet scent of chocolate in the air. The bespoke process behind the gelato bars was truly incredible, made even more special by how close to home it all is. Matt and Ish pride themselves on the impact they make beyond just the breaking of a bar. They work with cacao farmers who lead a wealth of sustainable and ethical projects: growing trees, protecting the rainforest, and empowering women; notably their Femmes de Virunga (DRC).
