The reputation of the best ice-cream shop in Scotland has been further cemented with news of a prestigious business award.
Jannettas Gelateria, which has been operating from its original St Andrews site since 1908, has been officially named Retail Business of the Year in The Courier Business Awards 2014, as well as being a finalist in the Family Business of the Year category. The award comes hot on the heels of Jannettas, who also have a shop in Perth, being named Scotland’s favourite ice-cream shop, having scooped the 2014 Golden Cone award this Summer of 2014.
Owen and Nicola Hazel were presented with their award, alongside Business Development Manager Charmaine Duthie, at a glittering ceremony at Fairmont, St Andrews on Friday 14 November 2014, attended by almost 600 industry leaders from throughout east central Scotland.
The awards are now in their second year, and attracted over 100 entries from a huge range of ambitious and exciting companies.
Collectively, Owen and Nicola commented, “We are absolutely thrilled to receive this award, and to have been shortlisted in the Family Business of the Year category. It’s a real credit to our team of staff and our wonderful customers and we would personally like to thank them all for helping us become what we are today.
